Everything you need to know about Ziglink’s smart link routing flows, analytics, pricing,
and account management.
zig.link/faq/start
Getting started
Traditional link shorteners mostly store one fixed destination behind one short URL. Ziglink is a no-code smart link routing platform: one public link that can send each click to a different destination based on location, device, time, UTM tags, referrer, or other campaign context.
No. Our free tier gives you 10 active links and 1,000 clicks per month, with all routing features included. No credit card required.
On the free tier (10-link limit), delete links you no longer need to free up a slot. Archiving instead keeps a link's short slug reserved, which is a paid feature. Archived links preserve all analytics data and can be restored anytime, so paid plans can rotate seasonal campaigns without losing history.
zig.link/faq/rules
Routing & rules
You build a routing flow by connecting conditions and actions. Every visit starts at Entry, moves through the flow, follows the matching branch at each condition, and ends at a destination. If nothing else matches, the visit falls through to your default URL.
Yes. One link can contain a full routing flow with multiple conditions and actions. For example, route Germans to a German landing page, mobile users to app stores, and visitors between 18:00 and 21:00 to a special offer page, all from one short link.
In the flow builder, a visit follows the branch that matches at each step. If that branch reaches a destination, the flow ends there. If not, the visit continues through the rest of the flow until it reaches another action or falls through to the default destination.
Yes. Besides location, device, and time, a flow can branch on where the click came from. Route by any UTM tag like utm_source=newsletter, by the referrer the visitor arrived from, or by any custom query parameter you choose. Query parameters match on an exact key and value, and the referrer matches when it contains the text you set.
Absolutely. Edit the flow, destinations, and branches anytime without changing the short URL. Your QR codes and shared links keep working. They just route differently.
zig.link/faq/limits
Pricing & limits
Active links are links that are currently live and clickable. Archived links don't count toward your quota. Free tier: 10 active links. Starter: 100. Pro & Business: unlimited.
Paid plans (Starter and above) keep redirecting even after you pass your monthly click allowance, so your links never break. We just prompt you to upgrade or add a click pack. The Free tier gets a fixed +100-click grace buffer; after that, visitors see a lightweight limit page with a manual "continue to destination" link instead of an automatic redirect, until your quota resets or you upgrade.
Click quotas reset on the 1st of each calendar month. Check your dashboard for your specific renewal date.
Yes. Upgrade instantly through your dashboard. Downgrades between paid tiers happen via the Stripe customer portal. If you cancel back to free, you'll need to archive links to get back under the 10-link limit.
Early adopters who sign up now keep today's price for as long as they stay continuously subscribed to the same plan. The Business tier is $79/mo (or $790/yr billed annually) today and rises to $99/mo for new subscribers when Phase 3 features (campaign management, funnels, A/B testing) launch later in 2026.

Features & functionality
On the Starter tier and above, you can add a password to any link. Visitors must enter it before being redirected. Passwords are salted and hashed, and once entered correctly, access is remembered for 1 hour so visitors aren’t re-prompted on every click. Perfect for internal links or exclusive content.
Yes. Set an expiry date and choose what happens after: redirect to a custom expired page, or show a default message. Great for limited-time offers or event-based links.
zig.link is for regular short links used in email, social, and the web. viaqr.io is exclusively for QR codes. We use separate domains so you can track QR scans vs regular clicks in analytics, which is perfect for measuring offline campaign performance.
Yes, in two ways. UTM parameters are automatically passed through from your short link to the destination, so your existing analytics (Google Analytics, Plausible, etc.) keep working as expected. On top of that, UTM tags can drive routing: you can send utm_source=newsletter traffic to one page and utm_source=ads traffic to another from the same short link.
Full custom domains like go.yourbrand.com are available from the Starter tier: 1 domain on Starter, up to 3 on Pro, and up to 10 on Business, with automatic SSL via Cloudflare. Every tier keeps the shared namespace at zig.link/your-slug. Pro adds premium short slugs (3–5 chars), and Starter already includes 5 reserved slugs.
zig.link/faq/analytics
Analytics & tracking
We track click count, country, device type, browser, QR vs regular link, and most importantly which path through the flow matched each click. This helps you understand how your audience is being segmented and tune your routing.
Ziglink shows you flow-execution data that Google Analytics can't, including which conditions matched, which destinations were used, and how your smart routing logic is performing. Use both: Ziglink for routing insights, GA for conversion tracking.
Yes. On Pro and Business plans you can export link analytics as CSV straight from the analytics pages in the dashboard. Scheduled email reports and JSON export are planned for Phase 3.
Yes. Archiving a link stops it from working but preserves all historical analytics. You can view archived link data anytime and restore the link if needed.
zig.link/faq/edge
Technical & performance
Sub-50 ms average worldwide. We run on a global edge network with 300+ locations, so redirects happen from the server closest to your user.
We target 99.9% uptime. Our infrastructure is built on enterprise-grade edge computing with automatic failover and DDoS protection.
No. Your links can handle viral traffic. We only count clicks toward your monthly quota, so there's no throttling or performance degradation.
Yes. Edge architecture scales automatically. Whether you get 10 clicks or 10,000 clicks per minute, performance stays consistent.
zig.link/faq/billing
Account & billing
Go to your dashboard and open Manage Subscription (Stripe customer portal). Cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of your billing period, then you'll be downgraded to the free tier.
We use Stripe, which accepts all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We don't store your payment information. It's all handled securely by Stripe.
We handle refunds on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@ziglink.app if you have an issue, and we'll work it out.
Yes. Stripe automatically generates invoices, which you can access through the customer portal. For custom invoices (e.g. with your company details), contact us.
